" Un étudiant en médecine de Boston (Massachusetts, nord-est), incarcéré pour le meurtre présumé d'une femme qu'il avait contactée sur le site Craigslist, a été retrouvé mort dans sa cellule après avoir apparemment commis un suicide, a annoncé la police dimanche.

Le décès de Philip Markoff, 24 ans, a été prononcé à 10h17 locales (16h17 HB) après que le détenu a été retrouvé "inanimé" dans sa cellule, ont indiqué la police de Boston et les autorités judiciaires du comté de Suffolk (Massachusetts) dans un communiqué conjoint.

"Markoff était seul dans sa cellule et tous les indices recueillis jusqu'à présent montrent qu'il s'est suicidé", ajoute le communiqué. "Quoi qu'il en soit, comme dans tout ce type d'affaires, une enquête exhaustive sera menée pour déterminer les faits et circonstances de sa mort", poursuit le communiqué.

Le jeune homme, surnommé le "tueur de Craigslist" par la presse américaine, était en prison depuis avril 2009 et en attente de jugement. Il avait été inculpé de meurtre, de vol à main armée, d'enlèvement, d'agression en vue de commettre un vol et de possession illégale d'arme à feu après le décès d'une prostituée de 25 ans, Julissa Brisman à l'hôtel Marriott à Boston.

La jeune femme offrait ses services consistant en des massages érotiques sur Craigslist. Il était accusé de l'avoir assommée avec la crosse d'un pistolet, avant de la tuer de trois balles dans la poitrine.
Philip Markoff avait clamé son innocence, et attendait son procès prévu en janvier."

Philip Haynes Markoff (February 12, 1986 - August 15, 2010) was an American medical student who was charged with the armed robbery and murder of Julissa Brisman in a Boston, Massachusetts hotel on April 14, 2009, and two other armed robberies. The media have referred to the Brisman murder as the "Craigslist Killing" because the killer was alleged to have met his victims through ads they placed on Craigslist offering erotic services. Markoff maintained his innocence of all charges and he had pled not guilty at his arraignment. A grand jury subsequently indicted Markoff for first-degree murder, armed robbery, and other charges.

The Suffolk County Sheriff's Department reported on August 15, 2010, that Markoff died of an apparent suicide by "suffocation" in Boston's Nashua Street Jail, where he was being held in custody awaiting trial. However, there has been no official determination of the cause of death and it is still under investigation.

Attacks
Markoff was suspected in three robberies — one of which resulted in the murder of Julissa Brisman — which had taken place in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The robberies were against three women, closely spaced in time and exhibiting strong similarities to each other. Law enforcement officials suspect that they were committed by the same individual.

1.The first incident took place on Friday, April 10, 2009, at the Westin Copley Place Hotel, in Boston, Massachusetts, in which Trisha Leffler, a paid escort, was bound and robbed at gunpoint.
2.The next incident occurred on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the Copley Marriott, also in Boston, and resulted in the death of Julissa Brisman, an exotic masseuse.
3.The third incident occurred on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at a Holiday Inn Express in Warwick, Rhode Island, resulting in the attempted robbery of an exotic dancer offering lap dance services.

Suicide attempts and death
Jail officials allegedly found "shoelace marks" around Markoff's neck on April 23, 2009, three days after his arrest, and they placed him under suicide watch in the psychiatric unit of Nashua Street jail, where he was monitored around-the-clock. A law enforcement source said he attempted to strangle himself with shoelaces and to slice his wrists with a spoon he sharpened to a point using concrete in his cell. He was taken off suicide watch a few days later.

On August 15, 2010, one year and one day after the date his wedding was to have taken place, Markoff was found dead in his cell at the Nashua Street Jail in Boston. The Suffolk County Sheriff's office released a statement that said "Markoff was alone in his cell, and all evidence collected thus far indicates that he took his own life". The cause of death appeared to be "suffocation",[6] however no official determination of the cause of death has been made and an investigation into the circumstances of his death is being conducted.

c'est une veille de jour critique émotionnel E8 - ce qui pourrait donc correspondre à un épisode pulsions = agression. aussi 23 ans et deux mois est une situation en année critique physique équivalente de P1.

on peut remarquer que les jours des agressions qui lui sont reprochées sont à chaque fois des jours de "pulsions". 10 avril (jour critique physique P18) 14 avril (veille de jour critique émotionnel E8) 16 avril (jour critique physique P1 et critique intellectuel i 17)

de même une tentative de suicide aurait eu lieu le 23 avril 2009 : jour neutre mais lendemain de double critique P7 - E15.

pas de période critique. le jour du suicide est une veille de jour critique intellectuel i9 : inhabituel mais ce cycle demanderait des recherches car je le retrouve souvent lors de passages à l'acte de certains serial killers. (pulsions ?)
